Black Truffle Mustard

Instructions:

Prepare the Marinade:

• In a small bowl, whisk together the truffle honey, 1 tablespoon truffle oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, truffle mustard, and thyme.

• Season with truffle salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Marinate the Chicken:

• Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.

• Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated.

• Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour, allowing the flavors to meld.

Cook the Chicken:

• Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

• Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of truffle oil and the truffle butter to the skillet.

• Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade, letting any excess drip off, and place them in the hot skillet.

• Sear the chicken breasts for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.

Bake the Chicken:

• Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.

• Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Tips:

For a more intense truffle flavor, you can increase the amount of truffle oil in the marinade or drizzle additional truffle oil over the finished dish.

If you prefer a thicker glaze, reduce the remaining marinade in the skillet over medium heat until it thickens before drizzling over the chicken.

Preserved Black Summer Truffle - Culinary Excellence

The preserved aroma and taste surprisingly retain much of the truffle's essence, making it a practical choice for elevating various dishes.

While it may not fully replicate the experience of fresh truffles, canned truffles have earned a permanent spot in my pantry for their accessibility and versatility.
